In order to utilise all functions of your new OLYMP wash unit „LavaSit Selection" optimally, please read the
operation instructions carefully.
Although the wash unit corresponds to the state of the art and is safe to operate, it must be considered a
potential source of danger, in particularwhen operated by insufficiently trained personnel or used improperly
and not as prescribed.
Personnel working with this unit must be instructed in its operation, cleaning and care based on this
instruction manual.
Unauthorized use:
The unit should not be operated by unauthorized persons. In particular, its use by the following persons
(including children) must be prevented:
persons with limited physical, sensory or mental capacity, unless supervised by a person responsible for their
safety, or receiving operating instructions by such person.
Safety warnings for the version with electrically extending leg rest:
The wash unit is intended for operation in clean and dry rooms at normal room temperature.

Installation as well as maintenance and repair work must only be carried out by authorised service
•
personnel or an OLYMP technician. The attached installation instructions „Floor fitting and inline
installation" or „Wall fitting and in-line installation" are intended for these persons only.
Residual current protection should be already installed in the domestic circuitry. The electrical
•
connector and installation of the residual current protection must only be installed in the domestic
circuit by a qualified electrician.
We recommend a regular check according to BGV A2 / VDE 0701 / VDE 0702 be performed by
•
authorised service personnel.
The LavaSit Selection unit must be operated and combined only with accessories (see point 4) which
•
are approved by the manufacturer.
Instruct the authorised service personnel when performing maintenance or repairs that only original
•
components from the manufacturer must be used.
The wash unit with power supply cable must not be connected to the power supply by means of an
•
extension cable. The power supply plug must be accessible at all times, so that it can be isolated from
the wall socket at any time.
In case of in-line installation of several wash units, the power supply cable must not be connected via a
•
further unit.
In case the power supply cable is damaged it must be replaced by the manufacturer or his service
•
contractor or a similarly qualified person in order to prevent hazard.
Cleaning and care of the wash unit (see 1.e and 2.a) must only be performed by cleaners who have
•
received instructions.
