Use
• Put the vehicle in gear (1st gear or park)
and put the hand brake on. If necessary,
place wheel chocks by the wheels on the
side of the vehicle to be lifted.
If required, fi t the extender (10) for
vehicles with a high ground clearance.
Attach the jack pad (11) to the jack
saddle (9)/extender (10). Place the jack
under the vehicle so that the jack pad is
under the lifting point. Check that the
jack and vehicle are stable.

• Turn the venting valve clockwise until the
valve is fully closed (do not overtighten).
Anticlockwise: open

• Insert the handle into the socket and
pump up and down using the handle.
The saddle will rise, raising the vehicle
from the ground.
• Position a suitable axle stand beneath
the vehicle before any form of work is
undertaken beneath it!
• Lower the hydraulic jack by slowly
turning the venting valve anticlockwise.
Pull the jack away while working on the
vehicle.
• When the vehicle is to be lowered again,
place the hydraulic jack under the lifting
point as before.
• Start by raising the vehicle enough to
remove the axle stands.
• Turn the venting valve anticlockwise and
allow the vehicle to lower. The more the
valve is opened, the faster the vehicle will
descend. Avoid lowering the vehicle too
quickly.
Checking the hydraulic oil
• Turn the venting valve anticlockwise.
Lower the jack saddle fully and remove
the cover plate.
• Unscrew the oil plug and look down into
the fi lling hole.
• The oil level must be 12 mm or less from
the bottom edge of the hole for the oil
plug. If it is not, top up with clean, fresh
hydraulic oil.
• Replace the oil plug and cover plate.
• Replace the hydraulic oil once a year
by draining it through the hole for the
oil plug. Make sure no dirt gets into the
hydraulic system.
Dispose of the oil in accordance with
local regulations.
