When planning and installing the anchoring devices, please observe the BG information "Planning basics
for anchoring devices on roofs" (BGI 5164)
The recommended minimum distance between the anchor point and the fall edge is 2.5 m.
When installing single anchor points, the load-bearing capacity of the ground should be taken into account.
Compatibility with similar systems is not guaranteed and infringement can carry a risk of serious or fatal
injury.
Single anchor points are intended for protecting people, not objects, from falling and are not for use as
transport anchor points.
During installation, the certification and processing instructions for the fixings should also be observed. If any
other fixings are used during installation, the system certification will not apply. The system should only be
fitted using the fixings approved for the purpose in the installation instructions!
The minimum strength category for concrete is C20/C25, in accordance with DIN EN 206-1/A2 13 , and for
steel the minimum strength category is ≥ S235 according to table 3.1 in DIN EN 1993-1-1 11.
Working above the anchor point should be avoided (see operating instructions for the fastener).
Single anchor points should only be used by trained and qualified users.
The employer or a qualified person should instruct the user on rescue plans and on the correct use of the
system.
Single anchor points should be checked and maintained each year by a qualified person.
Before each use, single anchor points and personal protective equipment against falls should be checked
for any defects. In the event of any doubt about the proper functioning of the products, these should not be
used and should be checked by a qualified person.
Damaged anchor points and/or fasteners or other parts of the PPE against falls should no longer be used.
Where applicable, the system or PPE should be checked by the manufacturer or by a qualified person.
Single anchor points should no longer be used after a fall.
Incorrectly fastened bondings / fittings may become loose and compromise the safety of the single anchor
points!
Improper repairs, maintenance and/or manipulations of the single anchor points and of their components
represent a risk of serious or fatal injury. If this is the case, any guarantee expires and SKYLOTEC GmbH
assumes no liability.
The product should only be used with EN 361 safety harnesses and separate fasteners certified according
to EN 354 and a shock absorber, which in the event of a fall restricts impact to the maximum permitted in
the relevant country, which in Europe, for example, means 6kN according to EN 355.
Only uses carabiners tested according to EN362.
If additional personal climbing protection equipment is used, the relevant operating
instructions and applicable guidelines should be observed.
