18 Tighten the buckles by pulling the adjustment
strap towards you, making sure they fit well
against your child's body at every point and that
the clip is at the height of the sternum.
CAUTION: Do not over-tighten the straps, and
ensure you leave minimum slack.
19 When you have completed the operation, check
the tension of the belts in every point (1-2-3-4-5).
Check the shoulder pads fit well over the body.
20 To slacken the harness, insert a finger through the
seat opening (1), keep the metal button pressed,
and with the other hand pull on the straps (2).
IMPORTANT! In the winter, do not dress your

child in bulky clothing before strapping him/
her into the car seat. Do not position blankets
between your child's body and the safety belts.
This could cause incorrect positioning of the safety
harness, with serious consequences in the event of
a collision.

22 This car seat features the Dual Stage Cushion, a
system composed of 2 separate cushions for even
the smallest babies.

Do not use the headrest reducer with children
weighing more than about 5 kg.

children weighing more than 9 kg.
Do not use the Dual Stage Cushion when the
seat is facing the direction of travel.
How to remove the car seat cover
23 To remove the "Dual Stage Cushion": unbutton
the two buttons (fig_a) anchoring the headrest
reducer to the backrest reducer cushion and pull it
off (fig_b). Unfasten the harness and chest clip and
remove the reducer cushion by pulling it off from
the crotch strap.
24 To remove the headrest's cover, pull out the belts
at the side of the headrest and remove the cover
as shown in the picture.
25 Open the shoulder pads and separate them from
the belts.
26 Rotate the buckle that blocks the shoulder pads
onto the back rest following the procedure (fig_a)
and pull it through the eyelet (fig_b).
27 To remove the seat's cover, undo the 4 buttons on
the back rest.
28 Lastly, pull out the cover of the central knob from
the side of the seat (fig_a) and extract from above,
as shown in (fig_b).
TAKE CARE YOU DO NOT DAMAGE THE
POLYSTYRENE (EPS) ELEMENTS WHILE REMOVING/
REPLACING THE COVERS.
Maintenance of the padding
Brush the fabric parts to remove dust.
• When washing, closely follow the instructions
stated on the label sewn into the cover.
• Do not use chlorine bleach.
• Do not iron.
• Do not dry clean.
Do not remove stains with solvents.
• Do not tumble dry.

Proceed to perform the operations shown in
figures 23 through 28 in reverse order.
