sary. To tension the chain please proceed as
shown in illustration 3.
Both bearings (on the right and left) must be
in the same position. Because of its design, the
freewheel (on the right-hand rear wheel) must
not be oiled. Slight grinding noises are normal
when the pedal cranks are in certain positions
and do not affect the driving characteristics.
The bearing points are to be oiled with ordinary
bicycle oil from time to time.
Any self-locking nuts (nylon insert) must be
replaced after disassembly.
Care
For cleaning purposes use only eco-friendly,
totally non-corrosive, non-caustic cleaning
products. Do not clean the car with a pressure
washer (or steam cleaner).
The car is to be protected from road salt, and
any lengthy storage in damp spaces (such as the
garage) is to be avoided.

Warnings
Do not drive the car wearing loose items
of clothing, as these may be damaged
by the wheels. Long shoelaces may get
caught in the pedals or wheels. Abrupt
braking of the Audi Kids Car while corner-
ing at excessive speed may result in the
car tipping over sideways. When reversing,
the Audi Kids Car may tip backwards as a
result of sudden braking. Children must
wear closed shoes (not sandals) when rid-
ing in the car.
It is recommended that suitable protective
clothing should be worn, especially a hel-
met and gloves.
The Audi Kids Car must not be driven in
the vicinity of staircases, slopes or on
steep terrain. Nearby staircases are to be
secured in such a way that the children
cannot possibly drive the Audi Kids Car up
or down them.
The Audi Kids Car is only intended to carry
one person. If persons also ride on the
rear wing or the front of the car, this may
lead to serious damage to the car and to
considerable injuries.
The Audi Kids Car must not be driven
beside or in water. Every six months (or
more often if used frequently), check all
the components for possible wear and
ensure that all screws, nuts and bolts are
correctly tightened. To ensure that the
high level of structural safety is main-
tained, any worn or damaged components
are to be replaced immediately and the car
is to be removed from use until repaired.
The effectiveness of the brake can be seri-
ously reduced in the wet.
