e) When the motor unit is released, it must move back
actuated by spring force so that the jointer bit disap-
pears completely in the protective cover. If this does not
happen, the machine must be switched off immediately and
repaired before reuse.
Health hazard by dust
Various dust created by power sanding, sawing,
grinding, drilling and other construction activities contains
chemicals known (to the State of California) to cause cancer,
birth defects or other reproductive harm. Some examples of
these chemicals are:
• lead from lead-based paints,
• crystalline silica from bricks and cement and other masonry
products, and
• arsenic and chromium from chemically-treated lumber.

and fi bre boards. All applications beyond this are regarded as
unspecifi ed use.
The Domino dowel jointer is designed and approved for use by
trained persons or specialists.
The user is liable for damage and injury resulting

The risk from these exposures varies, depending on how often
you do this type of work.
To reduce your exposure to these chemicals:
work in a well ventilated area, and work with
approved safety equipment, such as dust
masks that are specially designed to fi lter
out microscopic particles. Wash hands after
handling.
TO REDUCE THE RISK OF INJURY,
USER MUST READ AND UNDERSTAND INSTRUC-
TION MANUAL.
