PRECAUTIONS FOR USE AND USEFUL TIPS
-To stop water penetrating into the internal mechanisms of the watch, the crown should
never be pulled out and the push buttons should never be pressed when the watch is wet or
underwater (unless otherwis especified). If present, tighten the screw-down crown fully.
-If watches that are designed for sport and for operating underwater are exposed to salt water
or abundant sweat, they should be rinsed with fresh water and then completely dried. If salt
water does accidentally get inside the watch, take it to a Service Centre immediately and,
instead of trying to dry it, rinse it with fresh water and have it repaired as soon as possible.
-In some cases, water may lead to a deterioration in the quality of leather straps.
-Avoid exposing the watch to sudden changes in temperature (thermal shocks) that could
cause condensation, which fogs up the glass, or significantly affect the accuracy of the
watch. In such cases, have the watch checked by your dealer.
-Keep the condition of the glass under control: if it has any cracks, however small, it should
be changed immediately.
-Warning: the watch should never be worn when you dive into water as the impact produces
a pressure that by far exceeds that to which the watch is resistant and is a shock that should
be avoided at all costs.
-Always keep the crown in its normal position.
