Preparation
1. Plug in the power cable and switch on the device.
2. Allow the motor to run unloaded for a while, then switch off. Cool the device for 15 minutes until the device
has reached the same temperature as the oil's.
3. Adjust the lift control rod according to the log length when the wedge rises.
4. Fix the log cradle to the proper position.
5. Switch on the device again and load the log on the cradle.
6. Move the two control handles inwards to clamp the log and push down until the log is split.
7. Operating the handles with a single hand makes the wedge stop immediately.
8. Release both hands to retract the wedge and to load the next log.
9. After the log splitting, switch off the device and unplug the power cable from the mains.
10. Ensure the horizontal distance between the splitter and outlet is more than 3 m in case of dust
accumulation.
Notes
If the log is clipped on the wedge, release both hands, switch off the device and unplug the power cable
immediately. Knock off the log with a hammer (not with your hands).
Never attempt to split more than one log at a time.
Regularly clear the split wood to keep your work area tidy and to avoid accidents.
Never leave a switched-on device unattended.
Never operate your splitter on a wet, muddy or icy surface.
Only operate the log splitter in proper lighting.
Check the hydraulic hoses after every four hours or operation.
Switch off and unplug the power cable as soon as the machine is out of order. When noises become louder
and the wedge is running erratically, check the hydraulic oil level in the tank. Refill if necessary.
Never unplug the machine by pulling the cable.
8.
Moving the Log Splitter
Hold the towing handles, incline the machine towards yourself and move the device.
Never move the device while it is running.
Never allow anyone to sit on the machine while moving.
Be careful to keep the device upright and not to tip it during transportation.
