a) Mounting on a DIN rail: Note the distances to one another or to other components on the DIN rail and to
bottom and top of the cabinet.
b) Mounting on a mounting plate: Remove the 4 clips from the rear side of the electronic unit (Torx T10
screws) and mount them on the sides. Mount the electronic unit on the mounting plate. Note the mounting
position on top of a mounting plate.
Setting up weight sensor and electronic unit (Fig. 5)
1 Remove transport cover (6) and mount adapter weighing pan (3), weighing pan (4) and wind shield (5).
2 Connect weight sensor (1) and electronic unit (2) with connection cable (11).
Power supply (Fig. 6)
a) 12 to 24 V DC power supply: Connect the DC power connector to the socket.
Note: DC ground is internally connected to housing ground potential.
b) Power supply by PoE: Connect the RJ45 connetor from the PoE power source. Note the grounding of the
electronic unit.
Connection to a PC and/or PLC
a) With DC power supply: Use any of the RJ45 socket for communication.
b) With PoE power supply: Use the RJ45 socket with "PoE" denotation for power and the second one for
additional communication.
3.3 Configuring
The APW-Link software can be used to configure your SPC weighing system.
This software is available on
1 Connect the electronic unit to your PC via Ethernet.
2 Open the APW-Link software.
3 Select "Receive Configuration File".
4 Select connection type "Ethernet".
