TRANSPORT
For hoisting the fan it is necessary
to use slings as shown in the figure,
always using the holes
specially provided for
this purpose in the
casing. Hoisting by
crane should be carried
out very carefully and
in compliance with the
appropriate lifting
regulations.

MOUNTING INSTRUCTIONS

The fan shall be mounted on a foundation of concrete,
steel or equally good material in a way that the prescribed
fixing forces can be attained. Recommended fixing
methods: Vibration safe expander bolts or bolts with a
class of strength corresponding to 5,0 kN. To reduce
vibrations the fan should be mounted on anti vibration
mountings (see accessories on next page).
NB!
If the fan is to be used indoors, it should be mounted as
near the outlet in the room as possible, in order to give
underpressure in the ductwork.
Before mounting the fan, check for transport damage.
1. The fan should be set on its foundation and checked
for level. For adjusting the level use appropriate shims.
Then the fan should be fixed by means of the foundation
bolts which should be screwed down uniformly. Check
for final tightness.
2. Fit the fan outlet and inlet adapters (accessories).
3. To reduce vibrations in the ductwork, flexible
connections (accessories) are recommended, as
shown in the figure.
4. Fit the ductwork.

ELECTRICAL INSTALLATION

The fan motor can be connected directly to the mains.
The electric installation should always be provided with
a safety isolator. This isolator or a separate switch shall
be equipped with a motor overload protector for the
three phases.
During the first period of operation it is necessary to
check all the screw connections for tightness.

OUTDOOR USE

The fan is equipped with drain holes and is prepared
for use outdoors or under other circumstances where
moisture and condensation can be present. To stop
rain or snow from entering the fan casing, the outlet
should be protected with e.g. a cowl or a 90° bend.
The protection class of the fan motor is IP 54, which
means that it is protected against dust-limited ingress
and water spray.
If the fan is exposed for more extreme climate
conditions it should be enclosed.
