Sharpening of cutting blades

TRAPP multipurpose shredders leave factory with
temperate cutting blades. Sharpen the cutting
blades when the edge is dull. Sharpen the side
indicated only, according to Figure 13, trying to
keep its original inclination.

Remove the knives from the cutting set as follows,
according to Figure 14:

Release the screw (1) and the washer (2) using an
appropriate tool, then, remove the knife (3). Repeat
the same operation with the two knives, and by
removing the knives from the disk, sharpen in such
a way they keep the appropriate cutting line for
good operation.
Whenever sharpening, be careful to remove the
same amount of material from each cutting blade to
keep balance and to avoid vibrations of the axle
unit. The cutting blades shall be substituted
whenever optimum sharpening is no longer
possible.
Cutting blades of palm (cacti)

In order to sharpen the palm crusher disk's knife,
proceed as follows, according to Figure 15 and 16:

In order to remove the cutting set, release the screw
(1) and the spring washer (2) and the flat washer
(3), then, remove the cutting set (4). Repeat the
operation with the two knives, and when removing
the knives from the disk sharpen them in such a
way that they keep the ideal cutting line for good
operation.
