Startup
Unpacking
1.
Remove the appliance, all accessory
parts and the user manual from the box.
2.
Remove all packaging materials and pro-
tective foils from the product and the acces-
sories before using it for the first time.
3.
Check for visible signs of damage or
missing items.
NOTE

Never remove the rating plate or any
warning signs on the appliance.
►
Keep the original packaging during the
guarantee period in order to pack the appli-
ance properly in the event of a guarantee
or warranty claim. Transport damage will
invalidate the warranty or guarantee.
BEEM - Elements of Lifestyle
Before using for the first time
Before using the appliance for the first time,
heat it up once to remove any production
residue (grease). Proceed as follows:
1.
Push the temperature regulator (7) to the
" " position (highest temperature).
2.
Insert the plug into a mains socket.
3.
Move the ON/OFF switch (5) to the "I"
position. The power indicator light (6) lights
up and the appliance begins heating.
4.
When the standby indicator (4) lights up,
the set temperature has been reached.
5.
Wait for 10 minutes.
6.
Push the temperature regulator (7) to the
" " (lowest temperature).
7.
Move the ON/OFF switch (5) to the "O"
position.
8.
Allow the appliance to cool down com-
pletely.
9.
Clean the appliance as described in the
section Cleaning and care (page 17).
NOTE
►
When using for the first time, it is
possible that production-related additives
such as grease could cause slight odour or
smoke. This is completely normal. Ensure
sufficient ventilation.
