Grilling with the spacer
(see image F)
You can set the gap between both of the
grill plates with the help of the spacer. You
then have the opportunity to gratinate your
food with cheese just like Hawaii toast.
Make sure that the gap is adjusted ac-
cordingly so that the cheese does not stick to
the upper grill plate.

Using the appliance

Switching on
1.
Insert the drip tray (16) as described in
the section Inserting the drip tray (page
15).
2.
Insert the plug into a mains socket.
3.
Move the ON/OFF switch (5) to the "I"
position. The power indicator light (6) lights
up and the appliance begins heating.
4.
Use the temperature regulator (7) to set
the desired temperature depending on the
food (see section temperature regulator;
page 16).
5.
Allow the appliance to heat up after
switching on. The operating temperature is
reached in approx. 8 minutes when the lid (2)
is closed.
6.
When the standby indicator (4) lights up,
the preset temperature has been reached
and grilling can start.
NOTE!
The temperature settings can be
changed at any time during grilling.
Using as a contact grill or sandwich
toaster
1.
Switch on the appliance as described
in the section Operating the appliance:
Switching on (page 17).
2.
Open the lid (2).
3.
Put the food onto the lower grill plate (15).
4.
Close down the lid (2).
5.
Grill the food until it is browned or cooked
as desired.
Using as an open grill
1.
Fold up the lid (2) completely as de-
scribed in the section Folding up the lid
(page 16).
2.
Switch on the appliance as described
in the section Operating the appliance:
Switching on (page 16).
3.
Put the food onto both grill plates.
4.
Grill the food until it is browned or cooked
as desired.
NOTE!
Regularly turn over food to ensure even
cooking; if possible, only turn over fish and
meat once to avoid drying it out.
Using the spacer
1.
Set the desired gap as described in the
section Setting the gap (page 15).
2.
Switch on the appliance as described
in the section Operating the appliance:
Switching on (page 15).
3.
Open the lid (2).
4.
Put the food onto the lower grill plate (15).
5.
Close down the lid (2).
6.
Grill the food until it is browned or cooked
as desired.
Switching off
1.
Push the temperature regulator (7) to "

Move the ON/OFF switch (5) to the "O"
position. The power indicator (6) and the
standby indicator (4) go out.
3.
Allow the appliance to cool down com-
pletely.

After using

1.
Switch off the appliance.
2.
Pull the plug out of the mains socket.
3.
Allow the appliance to cool down and
clean it as described in the section Cleaning
and care (page 17).

Cleaning and care

Before beginning work, pay attention to the
safety instructions in the Safety section
(page 11)!
The appliance must be cleaned after
each use.
