Brewing coffee
NOTE
I
The brewing time for eight cups is approx. 15–20 minutes (supply
voltage 26 V).
NOTICE!
A
 Never fill the appliance with water whilst it is hot. Turn the appli-
ance off and leave it to cool down for approx. 10 mins.
 Never use hot water. Never put milk, ready-made coffee, tea
etc. in the water tank.
This could seriously damage the coffee maker.
➤ Remove the water tank.
➤ Fill the water tank with clear, cold water (fig. 5 A, page 3).
Do not fill the water tank above the maximum fill line.
One mark corresponds to a small cup.
➤ Close the lid of the water tank.
➤ Position the water tank on the coffee maker.
➤ Pull out the filter compartment and put a paper filter (size 2) into the filter
(fig. 5 A, page 3).
➤ Place the required amount of coffee for the number of cups to be brewed
in the filter.
NOTICE!
A
Position the pot with its lid under the filter holder. If the lid is not on,
the drip protection stays closed and the coffee filter will overflow.
➤ Place the coffee pot under the filter holder. This opens the drip protection
mechanism and the water in the water tank can flow through the filter into
the pot.
➤ Press the switch (fig. 2 1, page 2) to start brewing.
✓ The control lamp (fig. 2 2, page 2) lights up red while the coffee is brew-
ing.
➤ After brewing, wait for about one minute until the filter has stopped drip-
ping through.
➤ Once the coffee is made, swing out the filter compartment and remove the
filter with paper filter.
