Introduction
This guide will help you to configure and install your DPT Millennium
controller into a new system. If you are replacing an existing controller, the
controller is being installed in a system that does not use an Intel CPU, or it
will not be the only peripheral controller in the system, refer to the
SmartRAID V User's Manual for more complete information.
All SmartRAID V controllers are PCI 2.2 compliant and are designed to
operate in host systems that are also PCI 2.2 compliant. SmartRAID V
controllers include a PCI bridge device and the host system must be able to
recognize PCI bridge devices.
Read the SmartRAID V Release Notes: For the latest information, select
HelpView README Information in Storage Manager or view the READ.ME
file in the DPT install directory.
Operating System Support
To use the controller, you will need an I
for Linux, SCO Unix, SCO OpenServer, Windows NT and Windows 95/98.
DPT also provides a Novell-authored OSM for NetWare.
