INSTALLATION
Installation and transport
• Transport must be carried out by expert
personnel.
• Only use the accessories and specific
parts for the installation; not observing
these precautions could cause electric
shocks, electric discharges or fires.
Installation position
• The installation position must be suf-
ficiently solid to carry the weight of the
unit, and must absorb vibrations and iso-
late from noise. Ensure that the noise
from the unit does not cause disturbance
to neighbours.
Ensure the unit is securely installed and is
completely stable even after having oper-
ated for a prolonged period.
Periodically have the installation checked
Unit installation
The following details the correct installa-
tion of the unit. The final responsibility is
with the installer.
The air conditioners require particular
attention in mounting and maintenance
to avoid operating anomalies, and it is
necessary:
- In the case of gas leak which leaves the
air conditioner partially charged avoid
The air conditioner must be installed per-
fectly horizontal and in a position to easi-
ly allow normal maintenance (filter clean-
ing) and special maintenance.
To install the unit proceed as follows:
a) Remove the air conditioner from the
packaging, remove the casing unscrew-
ing the screws (1 fig.2), lifting the casing
from the hooks (2 fig.2).
b) Position the unit and make the hydraulic
connections.
It is recommended to adequately insulate
the water supply tubing to avoid drips
during operation. The connections can be
made both on the rear part (fig.3) and on
the right side of the unit (fig.4). For rear
connections the rear panel (1 fig.3) is
provided with slots for passing the tubes
to connect to the service bracket (2 fig.3)
fixing them with the connectors (3 fig.3).
When the hydraulic connections are made
to the right side of the unit it is remind-
ed that the bracket (1 fig.4) must be
• Carry out the installation taking into con-
sideration strong winds, typhoons and
earth quakes. An incorrect installation can
cause incidents due to the unit falling.
• If the unit has to be moved to another
location first consult your sales company
by "personnel with specific technical
competence".
• Avoid locations accessible to children.
• Avoid exposure to other sources of heat
or direct sunlight.
• Install the internal unit far away from TV,
radio or other electronic devices.
• Do not install the unit is places that
could be subject to losses of flamma-
recharging the but completely evacuate
and then recharge it with the required
charge.
- In the case of replacing any refrigerant
component do not leave the circuit open
for more than 15 minutes.
- In the case of a compressor replacement
complete the installation within 15 min-
utes of having removed the rubber plugs.
fitted over the tubes before the final
phase of connections. Once the connec-
tions are made proceed with fixing the
bracket (1) to the frame using the same
screws (2) previously removed.
Connection:
- the upper connection is for the conden-
sate drain,
- the central connection is for the cooling
water inlet.
- the lower connection is for the water
outlet.
c) Electrical connection.
To protect the unit against short circuits
fit a magneto-thermal circuit breaker, of
suitable rating, to the power supply line.
The electrical power supply cable must be
of the H05RN-F type with synthetic rub-
ber insulation and sheath in poly-chlo-
roprene, in accordance with standards
CEI-EN60355-2-40 and HD277.S1.
The electrical cable must pass in the grom-
met located in the rear panel. After hav-
or local Service Assistance; interventions
can only be made by "personnel with
specific technical competence".
• An incorrect installation of the tubes can
cause water losses and wetting of furni-
ture and objects present in the room.
ble gas. This can cause fires. Install the
unit in places with low quantities of dust,
smoke, and air humidity.
• In coastal, brackish or in areas particu-
larly close to sources of hot sulphur refer
to the sales company before the installa-
tion to determine the possibility of using
the unit in safety.
• Do not install in laundries.
- Do not compress the air within the com-
pressor
- Do not power the compressor when in an
evacuated condition.
-Ensure the same refrigerant gas is use as
indicated in the table of characteristics
of the condensing unit (R410A) for any
restoration or recharging.
ing removed the electrical board pro-
tective panel connect the power supply
cable to the terminal block of the electri-
cal panel. Refit the board protection pre-
viously removed.
Follow the electrical wiring diagrams sup-
plied loose with the unit and detailed in
this documentation for all connections.
It is reminded that the unit is supplied as
standard with the pressostatic valve to
control the water flow rate.
To allow draining of the system during the
winter season the hydraulic supply must
be isolated with a valve.
In the case of operation of the pressostat
proceed with the manual reset (fig.5)
pressing the button located below the
panel on the right of the unit (hydrau-
lic connection side). If the pressostat
operates several times consecutively it is
necessary to call the Service Assistance.
It is recommended to install a water filter
at the inlet to the unit.
