ATTACHING THE BLADE GUARD AND SPREADER ASSEMBLY
Disconnect the tool from the power source!
Properly align the blade guard and spreader assembly to the saw blade to help prevent kickback.
1. Position the blade 90° to the table and lock it in place.
2. Insert the spreader end (A) Fig. 6 of the blade guard into the anchor block (B). Push the spreader (A) down into
holder until you hear a click, indicating that the spreader is secure.
NOTE: Place the spreader (A) in the vertical position and push it straight down into the anchor block (B).
NOTE: The anchor block (B) Fig. 6 was adjusted at the factory to align the spreader block with the saw blade. When
changing to blades of different widths, you may need to
adjust the anchor block (B) Fig. 8. To adjust:
3. Remove the table insert and saw blade.
4. Loosen the two screws (C) Fig. 7 (under saw table),
that attach the anchor block (B) Fig. 8 to the saw
frame (E).
5. Three additional shims, two of which are shown at
(D) Fig. 8 are supplied with your saw and can be
used as required between the anchor block (B) and
the frame (E) to align the spreader with the saw
blade.
6. After adjustment is complete, tighten the two screws
