Adjusting rinse agent dispenser
A measured amount of rinse agent is re-
leased during the final rinse. As with deter-
gent, the amount of rinse agent needed for
your dishes depends on the hardness of wa-
ter in your area. Too much rinse agent can
result oversudsing that could cause cloudi-
ness or streaks on your dishes.
If water in your area is soft, you may not
need rinse agent. If you do need, you can di-
lute the rinse agent with an equal amount of
water.
The rinse agent dispenser has six settings. Al-
ways start with the dispenser set on "2". If
you notice spots and poor drying, increase
the amount of rinse agent dispensed by re-
moving the dispenser lid and turning the dial
to "3". If dishes are not drying properly or are
spotted, adjust the dial to the next higher
number until your dishes are spot-free.

When to refill the rinse agent dispenser
If there is no rinse agent warning light in the
control panel, you can judge the amount of
rinse agent by the black dot on the dis-
penser. As the rinse agent diminishes, the
size of the black dot decreases. You should
never let the rinse agent decrease below 1/4
full.
As the rinse agent diminishes, the size of the
black dot of the rinse agent level indicator
changes, as illustrated below.
