GENERAL SAFETY RULES

This ARC WELDER has features that will make
your work faster and easier. Safety, comfort and
reliability were foreseen as a priority for its de-
sign, making it easier to operate.
WARNING: Read and understand all instruc-
tions. Failure to follow all indications listed be-
low, may result in electric shock, fire and/or seri-
ous personal injury.
SAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS.
SAFETY IN WORKING AREA
Keep your work area clean and well lit. Clut-
tered benches and dark areas may cause acci-
dents.
Do not operate power tools in explosive atmo-
spheres, such as in the presence of flammable
liquids, gases or dust. Some power tools create
sparks which may provoke fire.
Keep away observers, children and visitors
while operating a power tool. Distractions can
cause you to lose control.

ELECTRIC SAFETY

Double insulation eliminates the need for the
three wire grounded power cord and grounded
power supply system.
Avoid the body contact with grounded surfaces
such as pipes, radiators and refrigerators. There
is an increased risk of electric shock if your body
is grounded.
Don't expose power tools to rain or wet condi-
tions. The presence of water into power tools
will increase the risk of electric shock.
Do not abuse of the power cord. Never use the
power cord to carry the tool and do not pull
the plug off the outlet. Keep the cable away of
heat, oil, sharp edges or moving parts. Replace
damaged cords immediately. Damaged cords in-
crease the risk of electric shock.
When operating a power tool outside, use an
outdoor extension cord marked "W-A" or "W".
These cords are rated for outdoor use and re-
duce the risk of electric shock.
EXTENSION CORDS
Replace damaged cords immediately. The use
of damaged cords can shock, burn or electric
shock. If an extension cord is necessary, a cord
with adequate size conductors should be used
to prevent excessive voltage drop, loss of power
or overheating. The table below shows the cor-
rect size to use, depending on cord length and
nameplate amperage rating of tools. In case of

doubt use the next heavier gauge. Always use
UL listed extension cords.

PERSONAL SAFETY

WARNING: Incorrect operation can cause se-
rious injury or death.
CAUTION: Incorrect operation can cause seri-
ous injury or potential accident.
ATTENTION: Incorrect use can cause a half-
degree injury or destruction of materials.
The serious injuries mentioned above refer to
those that need a long-term treatment in the
hospital caused by the loss of concentration at
work. Wound (at high temperature or low tem-
perature) injuries, electric shocks, fractures, poi-
soning etc; light injuries means burns or electric
shocks without long-term cure; the destruction
of the materials indicates the loss of property
and the destruction of the machine.
DANGER: To avoid serious bodily injury
caused by accidents, you must observe the fol-
lowing elements:
1. The construction of the input power supply,
the selection of the site for the machine, the
maintenance of the work piece after welding
and the handling of the waste is due to the rel-
evant standards and the internal standard of
your company .
2. People outside the operation are prohibited
from entering the site where it will be welded.
3. People who use a pacemaker or suffer from
heat shocks can not approach the welder dur-
ing the operation or the environment of the
site where it is being welded without medical
permission.
4. Allow a professional or expert to install, main-
tain and repair the welder.
5. Let the personnel who have the knowledge
in operation and safety about the machine use
the equipment.
6. Do not use the machine if it is not for welding.
7. While welding, do not touch the voltage
regulator.
8. Always remember to keep the arc spark away
from other people when welding. This is only
due to the interference of the arc spark.
