Reliable early warning with the help of this dialer is
only possible if the dialer is used in accordance with
the instructions.
Recommendation – Note
Device approved for use with analog telephone lines
in the EU .
(Standards: TS103021 and EG201121)
Connection to ISDN by means of a digital/analog
adapter (a/b-Adapter) .
Not suitable for direct use with ISDN telephone
systems .
Ideal addition for applications with Free-control
alarms, alarm units and central operating units.
If possible, do not install the telephone dialer where
it can easily be seen; it should be installed near a
telephone socket.
Do not use in rooms with high humidity or in direct
sunlight.
Installation
First choose a suitable place for installation
Recommendation: before affi xing to the wall check
radio reception.
The telephone dialer is designed for wall installation.
If necessary use the drilling template (see appendix)
Drill holes, insert plugs.
Screw in 2 round head screws and affi x the device.
Connecting the telephone
Connect to the phone socket.
For this use the telephone connection lead supplied
(RJ11 connectors at both ends) and if necessary a
telephone adapter .
Plug the RJ11 connector of the connector lead socket
of the dialer.
It may be necessary to purchase a country-specifi c
telephone adapter (A) from your dealer.
If necessary, plug the RJ11 connector of the connec-
tor lead into the adapter (German version included)
and then plug this into the TAE connection socket
marked ‚N'.
Dialing method
Select the dialing method using the switch located
on the side .
Possible dial modes:
a) T=tone dialing (DTMF)
b) P=pulse dialing
Your telephone company will inform you about the
dialing method to be used.
If you are connecting the dialer to a PBX (private
exchange) you can fi nd the correct setting in the
operating instructions.
Power supply
The telephone dialer has its own power monitoring
system.
Three states are indicated
1) Low internal battery in the dialer
2) Mains supply (e.g. mains adapter) missing
