CLEANING THE ASH RESERVOIRS

In order to keep the validity of the guarantee period, it is mandatory that the
cleaning of the records is carried out by a technician authorized by Boreal,
who will leave a written record of the intervention made.
It is about cleaning the ash records of the boiler as well as the area of passage of the
fumes.
First of all, it is necessary to thoroughly clean the interior of the combustion chamber,
descaling the soot adhered to the walls, as this makes difficult the heat exchange and rub
with a steel brush the surfaces with accumulated dirt.
It is also necessary to clean the chamber of the heat exchangers, as the soot that
accumulates in them makes difficult the correct circulation of the smoke. In order to access
to these zones, you can do it directly from the front, opening the external door of the boiler and you must remove the original chamber from the boiler
where the display is located in order to access the top register. In all cases, perform the following operations:
-
Remove the record covers by loosening the different screws.
-
Clean the ash deposited in the records.
-
Mount back the covers.
-
Check the tightness of the records.
You must also clean the existing register in the bottom right of the boiler, you have to
remove the side chamber and then perform the following operations:
-
Remove the record covers by loosening the different screws.
-
Clean the ash deposited in the records.
-
Mount back the covers.
-
Check the tightness of the records.
-
-
In the Hydroboreal 23A and 27A models with ash compactor, it is necessary to clean this area. In order
to do this, you can find two registers that are accessible by the right side of the boiler, disassembling the
chamber of that side. As in previous occasions, you must:
-
Remove the record covers by loosening the different screws.
-
Clean the ash deposited in the records.
-
Mount back the covers.
-
Check the tightness of the records.

SEASONAL STOPPAGES

If the boiler is not going to be used for a long time it is advisable to leave the fuel tank empty, as well
as the auger in order to avoid the fuel compacting or gaining moisture and expanding. It is necessary
to clean the boiler and the smoke duct by removing the ash and other residues, close all doors of the
equipment. It is recommended to clean the chimney at least once a year. Meanwhile, check the seals
because if they are not in good condition (they do not seal the door), they do not ensure the proper operation of the boiler. For this reason, it would
be necessary to change them. You can find this spare part in the same Boreal distributor where you bought your boiler. If there is humidity in the place
where the boiler is installed, put absorbent salts inside the equipment. Protect the internal parts with neutral vaseline in order to keep the appearance
overtime time.
Your boiler has a system to prevent the blocking of the pump due to calcareous sediments of the water of the installation. For this reason, it is
necessary that, during the seasonal shutdowns, the boiler is connected to the electric mains since it will automatically work for several seconds to
move the impeller and prevent its locking.
