Adjustment of the Pressure Gauge
Before shipment, the pressure gauge is factory-tested with a very exact and pre-defined test
pressure in a so-called 3-point calibration. This means unpressurized, with the mean value and
with the highest value (end value). This way, the pressure gauges are adjusted to these
values.
"Normal" environmental conditions and intentional use have no influence on the pressure
gauges. Mechanical influences (falling, vibrations, etc.) strong temperature fluctuations, humid
or also dusty environmental conditions can affect the accuracy of the pressure gauge.
Wrong or inaccurate readings can also be caused by defective tubes or balls.
In order to ensure steady measurement and readings, the pressure gauges must regularly
(every 1 – 2 years) be sent in to Gebrüder Martin for checking purposes, cleaning (inside of
the pressure gauge) and re-adjustment (as described above).
