INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE

Before starting operations of swaging, the following parts of the manual must be read very
carefully :
• MACHINE CHARACTERISTICS
• LIGHTING
• PRELIMINARY CONTROLS BEFORE OPERATION.
• SELECTION AND REPLACEMENT OF CLAMPS.
1. Decide the final swaging diameter required (the final swaging diameter is supplied by
the producers of the unions; follow their instructions) and insert the proper set of
clamps (table B).
2. Bear in mind that every millimeter of advancement of the knurled handwheel (item 1,
fig. 3) on the graduated rod (item 2, fig. 3) corresponds to ± 1 millimetre of variation
on the clamp closing. When the knurled handwheel is in position 0 on the graduated
rod, the final diameter corresponds to the nominal diameter of the clamp which is
printed on it. Each notch of the knurled handwheel corresponds to ± 0.1 mm on the
diameter.
Example: in order to obtain a final diameter of 12 mm, use a clamp with size 10.
Considering that the difference between the two diameters is 2 mm, the knurled
handwheel should be turned twice completely, so as to be positioned at no. 2 of the
graduated rod.
3. Fit the hose with the fitting and bush, already prefitted, between the clamps and
adjust the swanging diameter.
4. Press the green START button (fig.4,pos.1) and operate the mini hydraulic unit so
that once the final desired swaging diameter has been reached, the indicator light on
the front of the machine comes on.
5. Press the red STOP button (fig.4,pos.1) for stop the machine.
6. Is always possible stop the machine by pressing the red EMERGENCY
button. (fig.5,pos.1)
ATTENTION! When the warning light comes on, stop the mini hydraulic unit;
otherwise the limit switch adjustment system will most likely be damaged.
