Operation and use

Switching the appliance on/off

The appliance is turned on and off via the
rotary switch (5).
Turn the rotary switch (5) to ON for

continuous operation. The speed is
continuously variable between the
MIN and MAX levels.
Turn the rotary switch (5) to PULSE
‹
for impulse operation. The appliance
runs at maximum speed as long as
the rotary switch is pressed.
Turn the rotary switch (5) to ICE for
‹
intermittent operation. The appliance
runs at maximum speed but stops
every 10 seconds for 10 seconds
during processing so that the ice can
slide down.
Turn the rotary switch (5) to OFF to
‹
switch off the appliance.
Mixing
(see image A1)
To mix drinks or shakes, proceed as fol-
lows
Screw the blade unit (19) to the bot-
‹
tom of the blender jug (18) (detail A).
Pay attention to proper seating of the
sealing ring. It must fit smoothly all
round.
Place the blender jug (18) onto the
‹
motor unit (4) with the handle to the
right and turn the blender jug clock-
wise until it audibly snaps in (detail B).

NOTE
► Make sure that the blender jug (18)
is seated properly, otherwise the ap-
pliance cannot be operated (safety
switch).
Put liquid/fruit into the blender
‹
(detail C).
NOTE
► Pour liquids into the mixer first and
then the solids.
► Do not put solid parts (metal, wood,
bones) into the blender jug.
► Cut through larger parts so that they
can be more easily seized by the
blade.
► Pay attention to the maximum filling
quantity in the blender jug.
Place the lid of the blender (17) onto

the blender jug (18) and lock it by
turning it clockwise (detail D).
Place the lid lock (16) onto the lid of
‹
the blender (17) (detail D).
NOTE
► Pay attention to proper seating of the
lid (17) and the lid lock (16) to pre-
vent squirting out of the appliance.
► Before grinding frozen food such as
deep-frozen fruit, it must be de-
frosted otherwise the jug could be
damaged.
