NOTE on material damage
− Do not immerse the scale in water or other liquids.
− Do not under any circumstances use harsh, scouring or abrasive
cleaning agents or the like to clean the scale. Otherwise, the surface
could be scratched.
The scale should be cleaned immediately after use, especially after its contact with fat,
spices, vinegar, and other strongly flavoured and/or coloured foodstuffs.
− Wipe the scale as needed with a slightly damp soft cloth. Avoid contact with citric
acid.
− You can clean the bowl using dishwashing liquid or in the dishwasher.
− Dry immediately after cleaning to avoid water marks.

Possible cause
Are the batteries empty or inserted the
wrong way around?
Is the scale located on a firm, even surface?
Is a device that can cause electromagnetic
disturbances located in the vicinity of the
scale?
Remove the batteries from the scale and
wait a moment. Reinsert the batteries.
The maximum capacity of the scale (5 kg)
has been exceeded.
The scale is not stable. Select a firm and
even surface to place the scale.
The batteries are empty (see "Inserting/
changing batteries").
