CABLE CLIP INSTRUCTIONS
The cable clip provided
helps retain the cord and
keeps it from being acciden-
tally pulled out of the flash.
Try holding the clip
with the Turbo cable
in several different
positions to determine
the best location on
your flash. To perma-
nently mount the clip
find a flat location,
and clean and dry it.
Remove the adhesive
backing from the clip
and press the clip into place. Before using the clip
allow the adhesive to set for a few hours.
"AA" Batteries – (see the Chart column "AA Batt's")
Some flashes require that you install AA batteries
into the battery compartment for powering the com-
puter circuits, even when using the Turbo. See the
Chart.
If AA batteries are required, the Turbo will never-
theless provide most of the power required for the
flash.
When using dedicated modules it may be neces-

These instructions apply to all types of Turbo
Series Flash Cables.
WARNINGS
• Use only the cables listed for your flash!
• Do not fashion your own cables to use with
any Turbo model!
• Do not exceed the flash manufacturer's rec-
ommendation for the maximum number of
consecutive full-power flashes. If no recom-
mendation is given, do not exceed 36 con-
secutive full power flashes, and afterwards
allow 10 minutes rest to cool off.
• Do not needlessly stress the flash by firing
it rapidly to "test" Turbo performance! The
Turbo is very powerful and more durable
than the flash it powers.
• Quantum assumes no liability for damage
or injury if these instructions are not followed!
Refer to the list of
specific instructions
for your flash listed
in the Chart of
Compatible Flashes/
Turbo Cables.
sary to power them also by inserting batteries into
your flash.
Energy Savers – (see the Chart column "Energy
Savers")
Energy Savers improve the performance in some
flashes that require "AA" batteries for their computer
circuits. Insert into the flash one energy saver of the
correct type (green or black) along with alkaline AA
batteries only. NiCad batteries are not recommend-
ed to use with Energy Savers.
For best results start with fresh alkaline batteries.
Although the energy saver extends the life of your
"AA" batteries, they will eventually need to be
replaced. If your flash starts to behave abnormally
your "AA" batteries must be replaced.
Energy Saver 1 (ES1) is black. ES2 is green.
