Meaning of the symbol
Warning ! Please refer to the User's Manual before using the
instrument.
In this User's Manual, the instructions preceded by the above
symbol, should they not be carried out as shown, can result
in a physical accident or damage the instrument and the
installations.
Meaning of the symbol
This equipment is protected by double or reinforced insulation.
It does not require connection to the protective earth terminal
to ensure electrical safety.
WEEE 2002/96/EC
Symbol 102 according to IEC 61010-2-032
(Application or withdrawal authorized on the wires
UNDER DANGEROUS VOLTAGE)
You have just purchased an F11N or F13N multimeter clamp and
we thank you for your confi dence. To obtain the best possible
service from your equipment :
- read these operating instructions carefully,
- respect the precautions for use.
PRECAUTION FOR USE
Make sure that the conductor is correctly aligned in relation to the
markers and that the clamp is properly closed.
This clamp can be used in category-III installations with
voltages of less than 600V in relation to the earth.
Category III meets the severe reliability and availability
requirements corresponding to constant use on fi xed industrial
installations (cf. IEC 664-1).
Do not use the clamp for currents greater than 1,000A. Limit
the measurement time for currents between 700A and 1,000A.
Make sure that the switch and, if necessary, the leads are
positioned correctly before making any measurements.
Always disconnect the leads from the clamp when measuring
the current.
Always disconnect the clamp from all sources of electricity
before changing the battery.
Do not carry out any resistance measurements, continuity
tests or diode tests on a live cicuit.
Set the switch to OFF when you are not using the clamp.
The probe assemblies used for mains voltage measurements
must be of rated measurement category IV or better per CEI
61010-031 and have a rated voltage of at least 600V.
