Installing the wireless unit
Place the cleaner on a at and
CAUTION:
stable surface when installing the wireless unit.
NOTICE:
Clean the dust and dirt on the cleaner
before installing the wireless unit. D ust or d irt ma y c ause
mal f un c tion i f it c omes into t h e slot o f t h e w ireless unit.
NOTICE:
To prevent the malfunction caused by
static, touch a static discharging material, such as
a metallic part, before picking up the wireless unit.
NOTICE:
W hen installing the wireless unit, always
be sure that the wireless unit is inserted in the cor-
rect direction and the lid is completely closed.
Open the lid on the cleaner as shown in the figure.

Always use the hooks on the back of
the lid when removing the wireless unit. I f t h e

Tool registration for the cleaner
NOTE: A Makita tool supporting t h e w ireless a c ti v a-
tion f un c tion is re q uire d f or t h e tool registration.
NOTE: F inis h installing t h e w ireless unit to t h e tool
be f ore starting t h e tool registration.
NOTE: D uring t h e tool registration, d o not pull t h e s w it c h
trigger on t h e tool or pus h t h e c leaner ' s s w it c h f or v a c uuming.
NOTE: R e f er to t h e instru c tion manual o f t h e tool, too.
I f y ou w ish to ac tiv ate th e c leaner along w ith th e sw itc h
operation of the tool, finish the tool registration beforehand.

se c on d s an d start blinking in blue.
NOTE: The wireless activation lamps finish blinking
in green a f ter 20 se c on d s elapse d . P ress t h e w ireless
a c ti v ation button on t h e tool w h ile t h e w ireless a c ti-
v ation lamp on t h e c leaner is blinking. I f t h e w ireless
a c ti v ation lamp d oes not blink in green, pus h t h e w ire-
less activation button briefly and hold it down again.
NOTE: W h en per f orming t w o or more tool registration
for the cleaner, finish the tool registration one by one.

NOTE: T h e w ireless a c ti v ation lamp on t h e tool w ill
stop blinking in blue w h en t h ere is no operation f or
2 h ours. I n t h is c ase, press t h e w ireless a c ti v ation
buttons on t h e tool again.
NOTE: T h e c leaner starts / stops w it h a d ela y . T h ere is
a time lag w h en t h e c leaner d ete c ts a s w it c h opera-
tion o f t h e tool.
NOTE: T h e transmission d istan c e o f t h e w ireless unit
