CD PLAYER OPERATION

CD Open/Close/Disc Slot

To access the disc slot, located behind the front
panel, press the OPEN button (21). This
causes the front panel to open and fold down,
revealing the disc slot (22). With the front panel
in this fold-down position, gently insert the disc
into the slot (label side facing up) until the soft-
loading mechanism engages and pulls the disc
in. Lift the front panel back into position and
press to close. The "CdP" indication will
momentarily appear on the display. The disc
play indication ( ) illuminates and becomes
animated, the disc in symbol ( ) appears and
the track number appears on the display panel
along with the elapsed playing time.
NOTE: The unit is designed for play of
standard 5" (12 cm.) compact discs only. Do
not attempt to use 3" (8 cm.) CD singles in
this unit, either with or without an adaptor,
as damage to the player or the disc may
occur. Such damage will not be covered by
the warranty on this product.
