PROBLEM
• Excessive input power of the fan motors
• Driving of water out of the unit
•Escape of water from the tank
• Lack of cooling with the consequent rise of
water temperature inside the circuit.
• Vibrations and/or noise
• Indication of the oscillating or click type
hydrometer
Trouble shooting
CAUSES
• Check the direction of the air flowing
through the tower
• Check the temperature of the ambient air,
in fact it might happen that motor yields
more than the rated power output if the
ambient temperature is low
• Check that the heat exchanger pack is not
encrusted
• Check through the evenness of the rain
in the tank that all the spray nozzles are
working evenly without obstructions.
• Check that the heat exchanger pack is not
encrusted
• Check that drop separators create uniform
surfaces without breaks.
• Check that the drop separators are not
clogged at any point
• Check the ball regulation in the floating
valve
• Check that the overflow attachment is not
clogged
• Check that the capacity of the circuit
agrees with the design conditions
• Check the direction of the air flowing
through the tower
• Check that the damp air is not recycled by
the delivery
• Check that hot air is not sucked in from
other sources
• Check through the evenness of the rain
in the tank that all the spray nozzles are
working evenly without obstructions.
• Check that the heat exchanger pack is not
encrusted
• Check that the tower has been installed on
a flat surface and therefore that the axis of
the motor is perpendicular to the ground
(if it is not the fan will be unbalanced)
• Wear of the motor bearing, interference
between blades and ring
• Check the screws of the protective mesh
are tight
• Fan blade broken or unbalanced
• Water level in the tank below the
minimum
• Delivery pump not functioning properly
SOLUTIONS
• Select the fan power feed and invert two of
the three phases in the power line
• Contact the engineering office
• Change the heat exchanger pack
• Clean or change the nozzles.
• Change the heat exchanger pack
• Restore the drop separator level
• Replace the drop separator pack
• Regulate the ball position
• Remove the obstruction
• Regulate the flow rate

• Change the heat exchanger pack
• Contact the engineering office
• Replace noisy bearing (s)
• Section the fan motor power and check
the screws are tight
• Replace the blades/carry out the static and
dynamic balancing of the fan
• Check the supply of top up water Check
the minimum level guaranteed by the
float.
• Replace the pump
