Water distribution piping
Made of plastic (PVC, POLYPROPYLENE
o POLYETHYLENE according to the
specifi c application) it consists of a main
manifold and lateral branches which the
spray nozzles are attached to. The input
connection is fl anged.
Spray nozzles
Static type made of POLYPROPYLENE,
they have wide water passages to prevent
the danger of clogging and the cone-type
spray guarantees the perfect watering of
the heat exchanger pack.
Tower body
The casing of the tower is entirely made
of fi bre glass for the models from 50 to
750, meaning that there are no problems
of corrosion and maintenance and it is
structured in such a way as to be self-
bearing.
The outer surface is totally protected by
isophthalic gelcoat of fi rst-class quality,
specially designed to guarantee protection
against the effect of U.V. rays. The lower
part of the casing, called the body, houses
the heat-exchanger pack, the water
distribution piping, the fi breglass splash
guard fi ns and, normally, includes the
tank with all the plumbing connections.
The upper part of the casing, called the
"hat" is structured in such a way as to be
able to hold the motor fan and, inside it
houses the drop separator.
In the case of just the three largest sizes
(TRA850, 950 e 1100) the load-bearing
structure is made of hot-galvanised steel
with 22 mm thick fi breglass sandwich
panel with a foam support material

Tank
The tank is an integral part of the tower
body so it is made of fi breglass as well..
It includes all the plumbing connections
(cold water inlet, fl oating-type top up,
over fl ow, bottom drainage) while, in the
upper part it houses the splash plate fi ns
made of fi breglass.
The internal waterproofi ng is made of
paraffi ned isophthalic gelcoat, that is
waterproofed and water resistant, for
the purposes of guaranteeing durability
and unchangeability over time without
further treatment.
Heat exchanger pack
The heat exchanger pack is the heart of
the machine. The tower must be kept
clean and undamaged at all times so it
continues to provide effi cient cooling
effi ciency.
In the standard version it is made of PVC
in panels made of sheets that have been
thermoformed in a vacuum and then
bonded to each other leaving 19mm
passageways for the air and water.
It might have different heights dependent
on the thermal head to be obtained. the
upper layer of 100mm is the increased
thickness for the purpose of better
supporting the dynamic stresses caused
by the water the nozzles spray under
pressure.
In the special versions, it might be
made in different confi gurations and
materials, depending on the type and/or
temperature of the water.
Drop separator pack
The purpose of the drop separator is to
trap the drops otherwise pulled towards
the outside by the air fl ow extracted by
the fan.
Like the fi lling pack, the drop separator
pack must always be kept clean and fully
effi cient so as to avoid damp air ejected
from the tower being polluted by spores,
fungi or bacteria. .
In the standard version, it is made of
PVC by means of panels thermoformed
in a vacuum and then bonded to each
other.

temperature of the water.

Hydrometer - bleed tap assembly
This component that is not fi tted or supplied
consists of a hydrometer in a glycerine bath
with casing made of AISI 304, calibrated in
water column metres, a tap and a three-way
fi tting.
fl ow rate measurer this device allows, on
the basis of a load drop provided by the
nozzles (equivalent to the pressure indicated
during the operation of the hydrometer
needle), to check the fl owrate of the water
in circulation, in real time and with a good
degree of accuracy.
The plastic bleed tap's job is to assist the
monitoring of water hardness or to perform a
manual bleed on the hot water piping.

OBL - Inspection window
for sizes up to TRA 750.
PISP - inspection hatch
For sizes from TRA 850 onwards. Ample
sized hatches (800x600) for easy access
to the inside. The frame and nuts and
bolts are made of hot-galvanised steel.
