1 - GENERAL OPERATION
Principle of multivalve systems
Recommendation: program the lag valves first [Lag] and the lead valve last which will avoid a
change of position of the lower valve when using dual piston valves.
System #5: interlock
2 to 4 valves
During normal operation, each valve is independent, the electronics displaying alternatively the
time of day and volume of water remaining.
The remaining volume goes down with the water consumption until it reaches zero.
Once this occurs, the valve will go in regeneration mode if no other valve is already regenerating
and will generate a locking signal [Loc].
If another valve is regenerating, the valve stays in service, until the other one comes back in
service.
System #6: serial regeneration
2 to 4 valves
During normal operation, the electronics of each valve display alternatively the time of day and
volume of water remaining.
The remaining volume is the total volume of the system. The remaining volume displayed drops
with water consumption to reach zero. When this happens, if no other valve is regenerating, the
master valve sends a locking signal [Loc] and starts regenerating.
If another valve is regenerating, the valve will stay in service until the other goes back in service.
As soon as the lead valve finishes its regeneration cycle, the second valve starts regenerating
then the third and or forth if applicable.
A manual regeneration can only be done on the lead valve and only if the others are not
regenerating.
System #7: Alternated
2 valves
During normal operation, the electronics of each valve display alternatively the time of day and
volume of water remaining.
The remaining volume is the total volume of the system. The remaining volume displayed drops
with water consumption to reach zero. When this happens, the regeneration starts immediately.
The valve in service sends a signal to the valve in standby that goes in service, once this occurs,
the first valve goes in regeneration. If a valve is regenerating and another has used its water
capacity, it will stay in service until the first valve goes back in standby.
