The front panel of the NetScreen-5GT ADSL device has power and status LEDs for the
device, and port status LEDs for the interfaces.
Power LED
Interpreting Status LEDs for the Device
The device status LEDs indicate whether the device is operating properly. The following
table describes the status possibilities for each.

Interpreting Port Status LEDs
The port status LEDs indicate whether the ports on the device are operating properly.
The following table describes the possible status for the ports.

Meaning of the LED
Green
On indicates the system is receiving power.
Off
Indicates the system is not receiving power.
Green
Blinking indicates the system is starting up.
On indicates the system is functioning.
Red
On indicates a diagnostics or system initialization error.
Off
Indicates the system is not operational.
Green
On indicates the ADSL loop is up.
Blinking indicates the ADSL interface is starting up
Off
The ADSL loop is down.
LED Color
Meaning of the LED
Green
Blinking On indicates the device detects Ethernet traffic for the port.
Off indicates the port has not established a link with another device.
Solid On indicates the port has established a link with another device.
Green
Solid On indicates the port is connected to a 100 Base-T device.
Off
Indicates the port is connected to a 10 Base-T device.
