6.3 Hand Pumps
1. Close release valve fi nger tight.
2. Operate the pump handle to build pressure. Pressure
will be maintained until the release valve is opened.
3. Open release valve to release pressure.
6.4 P462 Pumps
1. Shift valve to advance and operate the pump handle
to build pressure.
2. Pressure will be maintained until the valve is shifted
to the retract position.
6.5 P84 and P464 Pumps
See Figure 11. Position valve
lever and operate pump handle
to direct fl ow as follows:
1 - To advance the cylinder.
3 - To retract the cylinder.
2- To hold pressure, shift
valve to position 2.
6.6 Power Pumps
See Figure 11.
1. To advance the cylinder, shift valve to the advance
position and run the pump
2. Shift valve to neutral when desired stroke is reached.
3. To retract the cylinder, shift valve to the retract
position and run the pump.
7.0 REPOSITIONING THE CYLINDER
7.1 10 & 12 Ton Models: see Figure 12
1. Loosen, DO NOT REMOVE, the capscrews (B)
located at the top of the press frame.
2. Slide the cylinder mounting block assembly (A) to the
desired position on the press frame.
3. Tighten the capscrews (B).
7.2 25 & 30 Ton Models: see Figure 13
1. Loosen, DO NOT REMOVE, the four stud nuts (C)
located at the top of the press frame.
2. Slide the cylinder mounting block assembly (A) to the
desired position on the press frame.
3. When cylinder is in the desired location, tighten the
nuts (C).
NOTE: Positioning the cylinder at
left reduces the press capacity of 25 and 30 ton models
by one-half (to 12 and 15 tons).
