The appliance must be sanitised each time the filter is changed, whenever the appliance remains unused for a

long period and, in all cases, at least once a year.
When performing sanitisation, the filter must be always replaced with a new one.

7.1 Sanitization

Ensure you have a container and a dry cloth to clean up any drips. Remove the filter as described in paragraph
5.
Close the tap.

Close the pressure regulator.
Disconnect the connection tube downstream of the tap and upstream of the check valve.
N.B. never disconnect the check valve!

Take the syringe from the kit, pull the plunger, remove the adapter housed in the plunger and insert it on the
tip of the syringe.
Use the syringe to withdraw 80 cc of 3% hydrogen peroxide.
Connect the syringe to the inlet tube and dispense the water at room temperature while the syringe is pressed.
Fill the syringe again with the solution described above. Connect it to the inlet tube and dispense the cold water
while the syringe is pressed.
Fill the syringe again and connect it to the inlet tube.
Dispense sparkling water.
When the pump comes on, press the syringe as far as it will go. Turn the machine off and wait at least 1 hour.
Turn the machine on and press the three buttons (filtered, cold and sparkling water) until the each circuit is
completely empty.
It will take a few minutes to empty the carbonator (sparkling water).
Reconnect the tubes to the machine and repeat the filling operations as described in chapter 3.
Repeat filling and emptying of the carbonator another two times to ensure complete removal of hydrogen pe-
roxide.
7.2 Emptying of the carbonator
Close the system stopcock. Close the CO2 regulator knob. Press the buttons to dispense filtered water at room
temperature and cold water until water stops coming out from the unit. Repeat the operation with the sparkling
water button. The unit will dispense about 3 litres of water. In the meantime, ignore pump operation. Press the
sparkling water button again to release all the residual gas. The emptying operation is complete.
