Anleitung_NLK_65_H_SPK7:_
The ON/OFF main switch (Fig. 2 / Item 8) is used to
disconnect the equipment completely from the mains
supply. Switch the main switch to ON first of all or to
OFF last of all when you no longer need the
equipment.
6.2 Operation
6.2.1 Selecting cooling / heating mode (Fig. 1)
For cooling set the cooling/heating switch (Item 2) to
cooling (blue), for heating set the switch to red.
6.2.2 Function switch (Fig. 4):
"ON/OFF" function key (20) - This switches the
equipment on. At the same time the ionizer is
activated automatically. You can switch the ionizer off
again only with the "ION" button on the remote
control.
"SPEED" Function switch (21) – This is for adjusting
the speed of the fan, with 3 different levels (only
possible in cooling mode).
In heating mode the fan speed is fixed at the "middle"
setting.
"MODE" Function switch (22) - This is for switching
on the modes "NORMAL", "NATURE" or "SLEEP"
(only possible in cooling mode). In heating mode the
operating mode is fixed at "NORMAL".
"NATURE": Natural wind is simulated by the different
fan speeds being switched on automatically at
irregular intervals.
"SLEEP": After 30 minutes the fan speed is reduced
to the next lower speed until the lowest fan speed is
reached (High 30 min. —> Middle 30 min. —> Low).
"OSC" Function switch (24) - the vertical air outlet
fins swing back and forth automatically. The
horizontal air outlet fins can be manually adjusted.
"COOL" Function switch (25) - The "Cool" LED lights
up. The LED will flash if there is too little water in the
tank. If there is a sufficient amount of water in the tank
(min. mark) the integrated pump will convey water
upwards, which will then run through the water net.
The air which is suctioned in is blown out cooler and
with a higher air humidity than when it was suctioned
in. The cooler the water in the water tank, the cooler
the air which is blown out (only in cooling mode).
"HEATER" Function switch (26) – The heat output
can be set by pressing the 1000 W (Low) or the 2000
W (High) button (only in heating mode).

"TIMER" Function switch (27) - This is for restricting
the ON period to between 0.5 and 7.5 hours. One
push of the switch corresponds to 0.5 hours ON
period.
The equipment switches off automatically once the
time has elapsed.
When switching off the heating mode with the
ON/OFF function switch, the fan will continue to run
for a while to cool the heating element.
All modes and functions can also be set using the
supplied remote control (with a range of approx. 5 m).
The remote control requires two MICRO (AAA)
batteries (not supplied). Make sure that the poles are
not reversed when you insert the batteries. Both
batteries should be new and of the same make.
Please dispose of your old batteries in accordance
with regulations by bringing them to designated public
drop-off points.
7. Replacing the power cable
If the power cable for this equipment is damaged, it
must be replaced by the manufacturer or its after-
sales service or similarly trained personnel to avoid
danger.
8. Cleaning, maintenance and ordering
of spare parts
Always pull out the mains power plug before starting
any cleaning work.
8.1 Cleaning
A) Emptying and cleaning the water tank
The water tank should be cleaned at least every 2
weeks. To empty the water tank, remove the plug
(Fig. 6/Item 31) on the bottom side of the tank. Allow
the water to drain into a suitable container. Clean the
tank with soap suds and then allow it to dry. Make
sure that you then replace the plug on the bottom side
of the tank.
B) Cleaning the air intake filter
The air cooler is equipped with a filter (Fig. 2/Item 9).
This should be cleaned at least once a month.
Important: Never use the equipment without air
filters. Use a vacuum cleaner or tap the dust filter
gently to remove the dust. If the filter is very dirty,
wash it carefully with warm water. Then allow to dry
thoroughly and fasten to the equipment when dry. To
