General pow er tool safety w arnings
WARNING:

tions, illustrations and specifications provided
w ith this po w er tool. F ailure to f ollo w all instru c tions
listed below may result in electric shock, fire and/or
serious injury.
Save all w arnings and instruc-
tions for future reference.
The term power tool in the warnings refers to your
mains-operated (corded) power tool or battery-operated
(cordless) power tool.
Cordless Hedge Trimmer Safety
W arnings
1 .
Keep all parts of the body a w ay from the cut-
ter blade. Do not remove cut material or hold
material to be cut w hen blades are moving.
Make sure the s w itch is off w hen clearing
jammed material. A moment of inattention while
operating the hedge trimmer may result in serious
personal injury.

Carry the hedge trimmer by the handle w ith
the cutter blade stopped. W hen transporting or
storing the hedge trimmer always fit the cut-
ting device cover. Proper handling of the hedge
trimmer will reduce possible personal injury from
the cutter blades.

Hold the po w er tool by insulated gripping
surfaces only, because the cutter blade may
contact hidden w iring. Cutter blades contacting
a live wire may make exposed metal parts of the
po w er tool " li v e " an d c oul d gi v e t h e operator an
ele c tri c s h o c k.

with blade will result in serious personal injury.

Do not use the hedge trimmer in the rain or in
w et or very damp conditions. T h e ele c tri c motor

First-time users should have an experienced hedge
trimmer user sho w them ho w to use the trimmer.

The hedge trimmer must not be used by
children or young persons under 18 years of
age. Young persons over 1 years of age may be
exempted from this restriction if they are undergo-
ing training un d er t h e super v ision o f an e x pert.
