Add Fuel
Fuel mustmeet these requirements:
*
Clean, fresh, unleaded gasoline.
*
A minimum of 87 octane/87 AKI (91 RON). High altitude
use, see High Altitude.
,
Gasoline with up to 10% ethanol (gasohoi) or up to 15%
MTBE (methyl tertiary butyl ether) is acceptable.
NOTICE:Avoid pressure washer damage.
Failure to follow Operator's Manual for fuel
recommendations voids warranty.
• DONOT useunapproved gasolinesuchas E85.
• DONOT mix oil in gasoline.
• DONOT modifyengine to run on alternate fuels.
To protect the fuel system from gum formation, mix in a fuel
stabilizerwhen adding fuel. See Storage. All fuel is not the
same. if you experiencestarting or performanceproblems after
using fuel, switch to a differentfuel provider or changebrands.
This engine is certified to operateon gasoline. The emission
control system for this engine is EM (Engine Modifications).
_i, WARNING: Fueland its vapors are extremely
flammable and explosive.
Fire or explosion can cause severe burns
or death.
WHENADDING FUEL
• Turn pressure washer OFFand let it cool at least 2 minutes
before removing fuel cap. Loosen cap slowly to relieve pressure
in tank.
• Fill fuel tank outdoors.
• DO NOT overfill tank. Allow spacefor fuel expansion.
• If fuel spills, wait until it evaporatesbefore starting engine.
• Keepfuel away from sparks, open flames, pilot lights, heat, and
other ignition sources.
• DO NOT light a cigarette or smoke.
.
2.
Cleanarea around fuel fill cap, remove cap.
Slowly add regular unleaded fuel (A) to fuel tank (B). Be
careful not to overfiN. Allow about 1.5" (4 cm) (6) of tank
space for fuel expansion.

3.
InstaNfuel cap and wait for any spilled fuel to evaporate.
CAUTION! Alcohol-blended fuels (called gasohol, ethanol or
methanol) can attract moisture, which leads to separation and
formation of acids during storage. Acidic gas can damagethe
fuel system of an engine while in storage.
To avoid engine problems, the fuel system should be treated
with a fuel preserver or emptied before storage of 30 days or
longer. If adding a fuel preserver, fill the fuel tank with fresh
fuel. If only partially fined, air in the tank win promote fuel
deterioration during storage. If fuel preserver is not used,
drain the fuel tank, start the engine and let it run until the fuel
lines and carburetor are empty. Use fresh fuel next season.
See Storage for additional information.
NEVERuse engine or carburetor cleaner products in the fuel
tank as permanent damage may occur.
FreshStartFuelCap
Adding fuel preserver helps keep fuel fresh and carburetors
clean for easier starting, all season long. This new fuel cap
automatically drips concentrated fuel preserver into your fuel
tank.
_i, BANGER:Contents are harmful or fatal if swallowed.

• *Fuel stabilizer contains: 2,6-di-tret-butylphenol (128-39-2) and aliphatic
petroleum distillate (64742-47-8).
1.
Placecartridge into fuel cap.
2.
Push to "snap" cartridge into place.
3.
Removetab to expose membrane.
IMPORTANT:DONOT remove the silver foil seal on the
opposite side.
