MODELS
This manual describes the installation, ope-
ration and maintenance of the CA-300 and
CA-400 Veg. Prep. Machines.
The model reference and its specifications
are shown on the identification plate loca-
ted in the machine.
These Veg. Prep. machines have been
designed and manufactured in accordance
with the following European directives:
98/37/EEC, 93/68/EEC, 73/23/EEC.
INSTALLATION
For a suitable working operation and long
service life of the machine, follow the ins-
tructions contained in this manual.
POSITIONING
It's advisable to locate CA-300 on a stable
surface, not behaving as a resonance box,
at height ranging between 700-900 mm. By
contrast, the CA-400 model must be at a
height of about 600mm. The expelling
mouth should be located above the food
recovery bag. These machines have no per-
manent fixing and can thus be easily
moved.
ELECTRIC INSTALLATION
M
OTOR SPECIFICATIONS
Single-phase for 230V.
Three-phase for 230 or 400V, factory-wired
for 400V.
Before the machine is connected to the
mains, check if motor is prepared for the
same voltage as the mains. Otherwise, per-
form the voltage change.
To change voltage from 400V to 230V, pro-
ceed as follows:
4
ENGLISH
-Connect the motor connection block
according to the indicated 400/230 V vol-
tage.
-Detach blue wire "N" from the connection
strip and cancel the blue wire of the power
supply cable.
-Install the jumper supplied with the wiring
equipment, according to the wiring diagram.
WARNING: When the machine is closed, the
power supply cable must be blocked bet-
ween the fixing studs and the jacket.
C
ABLE SPECIFICATIONS
The CA-300 and CA-400 Veg. Prep.
Machines are supplied with one thermo-
plastic-sheathed cable 1.5m in length.
THEY MUST BE EARTHED. The grounding
wire of the machine is identified.
Three-phase machine: For the CA-300
model, prepare one 20A, 3P+N +T wall soc-
ket and connect a sealed plug to the Veg.
Prep. machine cable. As for the CA-400
model, do the same, except that a 30A,
3P+N+T wall socket must be used.
Single-phase machine: For the CA-300
model, prepare one 20A, 2P+T wall socket
and the corresponding plug. As for the CA-
400 model, do the same, but use a 30A,
2P+T wall socket.
T
O CHANGE THE DIRECTION OF ROTATION
If the Veg. Prep. Machine's direction of
rotation is wrong, the disc will not cut. In
order to reverse the direction of rotation,
interchange two of three phase wires in the
electrical installation.

ITTINGS RACK
Discs and grids are kept in separate boxes,
which can be coupled, making a single han-
ging block.
In this rack, the fittings are protected
against shocks and it's very practical.
The use of the rack leaves out any risk of
accidents.
Grids for CA-400 are supplied in their own
packing.
I
NSTALLATION OF FITTINGS
- Open the hinged cover (K) , by releasing
the lock (I).
- Install the ejecting disc (C) on the driving
shaft.
- If necessary, insert a grid (B) in the inlet
recess.
- Install a disc (A) on the driving shaft.
- Lower the hinged cover (K) and lock it (I).

To use the drum pusher, insert it into the
drum mouth. To remove the drum pusher,
unblock it by turning it clockwise on a CA-
400 machine or counterclockwise on the
