Cleaning procedure

Hygiene in and around needle-free treatment equipment
Pay close attention to hygiene in and around the equipment. Needle-free equipment
should be treated in the same way as traditional syringes, so thorough cleaning after use is
important.
Follow these steps closely to guarantee even better hygiene of your needle-free system.
Protocol for flushing and cleaning needle-free treatment equipment
1. Start by cleaning the outside of the equipment thoroughly with hot water and
detergent (do not submerge).
2. Attach a bottle of MS Rinse Liquid to the pump unit. Pump until the liquid emerging
from the nozzle is completely clean.
3. Then attach a bottle of MS Contact Liquid to the pump unit. Pump until liquid
emerges from the nozzle (the time taken depends on the length of the dosing hose;
see diagram below).
4. Leave this liquid in the nozzle until the next treatment. Do not remove the bottle of
MS Contact Liquid from the pump unit (tests have shown that MS Contact Liquid
does not have an adverse effect on the nozzle parts).
5. Disinfect all outside parts using an alcohol-based disinfectant.
6. Before starting the next treatment, attach a bottle of MS Rinse Liquid to the pump
unit and pump until the MS Contact Liquid has been flushed from the system. To be
sure that all liquid has been flushed from the system, use the figures in the diagram
below. Take account of the dosing plug fitted.
7. Attach the product to be injected to the pump unit and pump until it emerges from
the nozzle. To be sure that all MS Rinse Liquid has been flushed from the system,
use the figures in the diagram below. Check the pressure setting, and the system is
ready for use.
STORAGE RECOMMENDATION: if the Schipmatic Pulse is being stored away and will not
be used for more than ten days, we recommend removing the injection pin from the
injection gun and the dosing pin from the dosing units (this extends O-ring lifespan). See
instructions above.
