® Thread tension dial:AUTO
® F: Satin stitch foot
@ Drop the feed dogs:Lowered position
(see page 24)
[] Match the holes on the button with the horizontal slot on
the presser foot.
Lower the foot to hold the button in place,,
[] Turn the handwheel 5 times by hand until the needle
sewing to the right.
[] Press the stitch width control key '%" or "' to set zigzag
width matching with the distance of the holes on the
button.
[] Check if the needle enters into the holes on the button
by turning the handwheel by hand.
[] Readjust the zigzag width if necessary.
[] Sew about ten stitches, then cut the threads leaving
about 4" (10 cm). Trim both needle and bobbin threads
at the begining
[] Pull the bobbin thread to draw the needle thread to the
bottom side of the fabric and knot the threads.
* After the button sewing is completed, raise the
feed dogs for normal sewing,
