GENERAL CONSIDERATIONS

Depending on the configuration and the type of installation, the functions of an MDS-
CITY/DIRECT Guard Unit are:
Door Entry & Video Door Entry Installations
This permits communication between the Guard Unit and apartments, as well as the
reception of calls made from outdoor panels to apartments, so that they can then be
transferred by the Guard Unit to the apartment called or to a different one (up to 10,000
telephones or monitors).

Radial Intercommunication with Telephones

This permits communication with the telephones installed in apartments (up to 10,000
plus the Guard Unit).

Radial Intercommunication with Panels

This permits communication with the Guard Unit and a maximum of 1,000
intercommunication panels.
Mixed installations - Door Entry maybe combined with Radial Intercommunication
too.
Example: A condominium composed of both houses and apartments: in apartments,
telephones with standard decoders are installed, whereas for houses the system
of Panel Decoder with interior telephone is used.
