1. Short Description

Pulse to wireless or wired M-Bus Converter
The PDC (Pulse Data Capture) module is used for
the integration of meters with pulse output in radio
systems or smart metering systems.
Typical application:
Wireless remote read out of water meters

with pulse output or other types of energy
meter with pulse output in walk-by or drive-by
system
Radio transmission of the readings to mobile

or stationary receivers
Remote reading via M-Bus systems

By the means of the PDC module conventional
meters with pulse output can be integrated in
radio or M-Bus systems in an easy and cost-ef-
ficient way.
For this purpose, the pulse output of the meter is
to be connected with the battery powered PDC
module. For ZENNER water meter retrofittable
with pulser ZENNER provides corresponding PDC
modules with ex-works installed pulse output.
The PDC-module is available in following
versions:
RADIO: wireless M-Bus module according to

OMS standard (868 MHz), EN 13757-4
M-Bus: wired M-Bus module, EN 13757-3
■
Both models are available as versions filled
with resin and protected from moisture
entering.
The PDC modules are each powered by a lithium
cell that - depending on the PDC version (and on
number of input channels and the transmission
interval) - has a lifespan of up to 15 years.
Scope of delivery
PDC module with mounting kit and installation
instructions, possibly with Pulse Generator con-
nected ex-works for specific ZENNER water
meter.
