3. Description of the remote control
21 "ON/OFF" button (= button 8 on the appliance)

4. Installation
The appliance can be used indoors in a free standing
position. Keep a minimum distance of 1 m between
the housing and walls, combustible materials
(furniture, curtains, etc.). The fan heater may only be
used completely mounted and standing vertically on
a stable surface. It is prohibited to operate the
appliance on an instable surface (e.g. on a bed).

6. Proper use
The appliance is designed only for private use, not
for commercial heating purposes.
7. Starting up
Important! Before using the appliance for the first
time, check that the voltage supply is the same as
the voltage details set out on the data plate. Read
safety instructions listed under section 1.
When the heater is used for the first time or after a
long period of rest it may emit an odor for a short
time. This is not a fault.
7.1 Switching on the appliance
Set the mains voltage switch (13) to "0" and plug the
power plug into the socket. Switch the mains voltage
switch (13) to "I". An audio signal will sound and the
backlit LCD (1) and the operating status indicator

(11) with will light up. You can then switch on the
appliance with pushbutton (8). If no buttons are
pressed for longer than approximately 15 seconds
the display will go out but the operating status
indicator (11) will continue to shine.
7.2 Switching off the appliance
Switch off the appliance with pushbutton (8). Then
switch the mains voltage switch (13) to "0". The LCD
and the operating status indicator will go out.
7.3 LCD: The LCD shows the current room
temperature during operation. If no buttons are
pressed for longer than approximately 15 seconds
the backlighting in the display will go out. The
operating status indicator (11) will continue to shine.
7.4 Topple cut-out
If the appliance topples during operation it is
automatically turned off by the switch (12). The LCD
and the operating status indicator will go out. When
the appliance has been stood up again (the switch
shown as Item 12 must be pressed) it remains
switched off and has to be switched on again with
230 V ~ 50 Hz
the pushbutton (8) as described in 7.1.
7.5 Adjusting the heat output

When the appliance is switched on the heat output is

switched off and the appliance runs in fan mode

without heat output. To switch on the heat output,
press the "SETTING" pushbutton.
2 press = Low heat output (Low)
2 presses = High heat output (High)
3 presses = Automatic mode (AUTO) with high heat
output
7.6 Automatic mode
If you have switched on the automatic mode as
described in 7.5, you can adjust the desired room
temperature within a range of 15°C to 30°C by
pressing the "+" or "-" button. The set room
temperature flashes for approximately 5 seconds
in the display after the last press of the button.
Then the current room temperature appears again
in the display.
The appliance switches itself off automatically
when the desired room temperature is reached.
The display will show the current room
temperature and "AUTO", the backlighting will go
out but the operating status indicator (11) will
continue to shine.
The appliance switches itself on again automati-
cally whenever the current room temperature falls
below the desired room temperature.
