Cleaning the air filter
OPERATION TO BE PERFORMED WHEN THE MACHINE IS SWITCHED OFF AND THE POWER SUPPLY IS DISCONNECTED.
UNICO MASTER
To ensure effective internal air filtration and satisfactory operation of your air conditioner, the air filter has to be cleaned periodically.
The air filter is at the top of the unit.
Removing the filter:
-
manually unhook and turn the front air aspiration grill as indicated in fig. 44
-
lift the front part of the filter (fig. 44 ref. A)
-
pull slightly to remove the edge from the upper grid (fig. 44 ref. B)
-
remove the two supplementary filters (green purifying filter ref. B and black active carbon filter ref. C) from the filter unit (fig.
45 ref. A)
-
wash and dry all the filters
-
fit the active carbon filter (black) (fig. 45 ref. C) on the filter unit (fig. 45 ref. A) and lock it to the specific tongues (fig. 45 ref.
D)
-
fit the purifying filter (green) (fig. 45 ref. B) on the first pin that is on the filter unit (fig. 45 ref. E), pull it slightly and lock it on
the other two pins (fig. 45 ref. F)
-
refit the filter unit by inserting the rear edge (fig. 46 ref. B) into the grid (fig. 46 ref. A)
-
lower the front edge (fig. 46 ref. C) on the machine
-
reclose and hook the front air aspiration grill
To deactivate LED A (if on), after having powered and started the appliance, press the micro key positioned on the signal console
(fig. 24 ref. H) with a pointy object for a brief instant. By doing so, the signal related to the filter cleaning requirement is reset.
WALL SPLIT
The filters behind the air intake grating should be cleaned at least once every three weeks.
-
Open the front grating on the inside unit by pulling upward on both sides (fig. 47 A)
-
Push the two filters gently upward (fig. 47 B) so as to free the catch at the bottom, then slide them out downward (fig. 47
C).
-
Remove the electrostatic filter and catalytic filter from their housing (fig. 47 D).
-
Clean with a normal vacuum cleaner to remove all the impurities on the filter (fig. 48 A).
-
To clean the filtering element more thoroughly, it can be washed in lukewarm running water with a mild soapy detergent; rinse
and dry (fig. 48 A).
-
Replace the electrostatic filter and catalytic filter into their housing.
-
Return the two filters to their housing by inserting the upper part first (fig. 48 B), then fitting the bottom filter catches in their
housings (fig. 48 C).
-
Close the grating

DELIVERY OF THE SYSTEM
Before you leave the site of installation you should gather up all packing material and use a damp cloth to remove any traces of
dust that may have deposited on the machine during assembly (fig. 43).
After making all tests and inspections of proper operation of the system, the installer should explain its basic operating features
to the buyer, how to switch it on and off, and normal use of the remote control, as well as practical recommendations for suitable
maintenance and cleaning.
