Filter Maintenance
It is recommended that every two weeks you perform the 'auto clean' process
to ensure the continued effectiveness of the filter. Depending on your pond
volume and stock levels, this may need to be completed more or less often.
Again depending on the above factors you will need to perform a full deep
clean of the included doams and the inside of the filter body 2-3 times per year.
Please note that the part numbers below are displayed as follows:
(1/8) - the first part number is for AUTO-PFC-5000 to 30000 and the second
part number for AUTO-PFC-50000 and 75000.
Filter Auto Clean Maintenance
Switch off your pump - switch off your pump and visually inspect that you have
no water flow through the filter.
Connect hose to the Waste Outlet Point - safely connect using either jubilee /
wire clips to ensure this is water tight.
Aim your waste - Place the end of the hose from the Waste Outlet Point to a
suitable location in your garden. Switch off your pump and visually inspect that
you have the expected water flow through the filter. Visually check that you
have no leakage.
Begin the Auto Clean Process - Turn the blue
Outlet Control Dial 90 degrees so that it faces the
waste outlet point. Then switch the pump ON.
Important note
order to ensure no damage is done to the filter.
The filter will then automatically start the auto-
clean process for approximately 60 seconds.

Ensure water is clear - The unit will beep to indicate that it has completed the
auto clean process. Check the water is running clear from the waste outlet
hose. After the process is complete, switch the pump OFF.

Return the filter to normal operation - Point the Outlet Control Dial towards
your Water Inlet Point. Visually check that you have no leakage and that you
have the expected water flow through the filter.
