5 - Guidelines for use
Production type
It will be important to programme the pro-
duction type in the Selwatch menu (see 4.
- Chlorine menu). If your device's display shows
ECL, then your "production method" is set to
"electrolyser" mode. If your device's display
shows PCL, then your "production method" is
set to "chlorine pump" mode.
Also think about disconnecting the automatic
cover if it has initially been locked to the elec-
trolyser.
Filtration time
The sodium hypochlorite produced by your elec-
trolyser avoids the problems associated with the
use of chemical chloride (purchase, storage, dai-
ly monitoring, etc.). With this process, produc-
tion capacity is directly linked to the filtration time
of your pool; it is therefore important to ensure
the proper setting in order to achieve the correct
treatment.
example: The filtration time is equal to the water
temperature divided by two.
We remind you that it is advisable to turn on your
filtration during the day, not at night.
The water in your swimming pool is murky
- It is preferable to increase the filtration time
and clean the filter rather than resorting to
adding a flocking agent.
- Forced top-up chlorination of the device is
preferable to manual top-up chlorination.
- If you opt for manual top-up chlorination,
remember to switch off your device until the
chlorine content falls below 5 ppm.
Reagents
The reagents are valid for one year after opening.
Beyond this time, their effects may be changed
and the measured values may therefore be in-
correct. Change your reagents pack at the start
of each season to ensure that your device ope-
rates properly.
Attention ! The reagents are only valid for a finite
time (even if unopened). Check the use-by date
on the pack or its packaging before installation.
How they work
•
A few drops of reagent mixed with a sample
of water from your swimming pool enable the
free chlorine content of your swimming pool to
be defined automatically.
1
These reagents are non-toxic and can only be
used with an automatic colorimetry system.
