IMPORTANT INFORMATION:

If you would like to use fresh milk, boil this beforehand and
allow it to cool down to approx. 45°C.
•
Only operate the device with a closed cover in order to
ensure a constant temperature.
Commissioning the appliance
Electrical Connection
•
Before inserting the plug into the socket. Make sure that the
mains voltage to be used matches that of the device. You
can fi nd this information on the nameplate.
•
Connect the device to a duly installed 230 V/50 Hz protec-
tive contact socket.
Using the appliance
•
Turn the device on. The control lamp in the switch lights up.
•
Allow the milk mixture to mature for approximately 8 hours in
the device.
•
Do not move the device during this time, as otherwise the
yoghurt will remain liquid. Protect it against vibrations!
•
In order to stop operation, turn the device off. The control
lamp goes out.
NOTE:
•
The longer the yoghurt matures, the stronger the taste
becomes.
•
One jar of the fi nished yoghurt can be used again as a
starting culture, but not more than approximately 20 times
as the effect diminishes over time.
•
Fruits, nuts, jam or similar items should only be added
after preparation.
•
Always store the fi nished yoghurt in the refrigerator.
WARNING:
•
Always remove the plug before cleaning!
•
Under no circumstances should you immerse the device
in water for cleaning purposes. Otherwise this might result
in an electric shock or fi re.
CAUTION:
•
Do not use a wire brush or any abrasive items.
•
Do not use any acidic or abrasive detergents.
•
Wipe the casing with a dampcloth.
•
The cover and the jars with lid can be cleaned in soapy
water.
