2.2. ELECTROCARDIOGRAM INDICATIONS
The electrocardiogram is recommended for:
- People with unexplained vital signs possibly related to irregular heartbeat: chest pain,
breathing difficulties, palpitations, dizziness, loss of consciousness etc.
- Patients with cardiovascular risk factors or a known cardiovascular disease
- Monitoring treatment for an irregular heartbeat
- Monitoring tolerance of certain medication
- Monitoring diabetic patients
- Electrolyte issues: excess or lack of potassium, excess or lack of calcium
2.3. CONTRAINDICATIONS
MyECG is not recommended for people with a pacemaker or a cardioverter-defibrillator.
2.4. PRECAUTIONS BEFORE USE
Battery replacement
Display: when the LCD screen displays
Operation: Open the battery cover (12) and change the batteries, taking great care
with the correct positioning. A mistake with this could cause damage to the ap-
paratus and compromise the guarantee of your BewellConnect MyECG. Never use
rechargeable batteries. Use only batteries for single usage.
Low batteries may affect the accuracy of HR measurements. Monitor the battery life icon on
the display screen. Change batteries when the battery icon indicates low battery life, or the
screen displays "Change Batteries". The device will turn off when batteries are too low for nor-
mal operation. When replacing batteries you will need to reset the date and time.

- Ensure the device is powered off before replacing the batteries.
- Use AAA batteries only. Do not use any battery other than the mentioned batteries. Do not
attempt to recharge non-rechargeable batteries. Do not throw them into a fire.
- Remove the batteries if the appliance is not used for a long period or regularly.
- Ensure the polarity of the batteries is correct. Incorrect polarity can cause damage and
compromise the warranty of your appliance.
- Do not use new and used batteries together.
- When replacing batteries, you will need to reset the date and time.
- If battery fluid should get in your eyes, immediately rinse with plenty of clean water. Con-
tact your doctor immediately.

2.6. INSTRUCTIONS TO MEASURE YOUR HEART RYTHM
Preparation : Follow these instructions carefully for each device use. Failure to comply with
any of these instructions will result in an inaccurate measurement.
- If your skin is very dry, use a moisturizer.
- After each use, carefully disinfect the contact electrodes only with a disinfectant swab or
equivalent.
