READ ALL THE FOLLOWING INSTRUCTIONS
General
The requirements of the Personal Protective Equipment at Work Regs 1992 are
mandatory to United Kingdom (UK) users. Similar legal requirements exist in other
countries. They should be complied with at all times.
When using electric tools, basic safety precautions must be observed, to
minimise the risk of fire, electric shock and physical injury.
Always disconnect the plug from the socket before carrying out any work on the
machine.
Before use check machine, cable, and plug for any damages or material fatigue.
Repairs should only be carried out by authorised Service Agents.
Keep mains lead clear from working range of the machine. Always lead the cable
away behind you.
Only plug-in when machine is switched off.
Using the Saw
Work within the machine's capacity. Do not use it for purposes other than those for
which it was designed.
Beware of concealed electric cables. If the tool strikes a power cable the metal
parts of the saw could become 'live'. Always use the insulated handles to prevent
electric shock.
Using excessive force will reduce efficiency and tire the operator. The saw is
designed to operate safely and efficiently without the use of excessive force.
Dust that arises when working on material containing asbestos or stonework
containing crystalline silicic acid is harmful to the health. Please follow accident
prevention regulations.
Mind safety regulations issued by your employer's liability insurance association.
Do not use grinder on any material containing asbestos.
Always wear goggles when using the machine. It is recommended to wear gloves,
sturdy non slipping shoes and apron.
Ensure a safe support when sawing.
Protect your head from injury from falling brickwork. Always wear a protective
helmet.
Maintaining the Saw
The saw is protective insulated.
Keep the handles secure, dry and free from oil and grease.
Ensure that the anti–vibration systems are maintained in good working order.
Follow the recommended procedures for lubrication, and change of blades.
To ensure safe and proper operation, examine the saw for obvious damage before
use. Damaged parts should be repaired or replaced immediately by an approved
service organisation using Milwaukee approved spares and materials.
